Our understanding for a Green Platform Provider is:
We put the environmental concern in the first priority and increasingly use green technologies on product design for less waste, more efficient energy consumption and ultimately lower CO2 emissions.
From the very first stage of design, through production until the recycling of the products, we focus on the green concept.
The Products are designed for longer lifetime. The Products should be easy to recycle.
The CO2 balance should be minimized throughout the lifetime of the product (From design stage to manufacturing the product until the recycling)
 
 
How we became a Green Platform provider?

We care about our environment as much as you do since the date Winmate was founded. We have developed low power consumption and low operating temperature products to utilize energy more efficiently; we also utilize the strong sunlight to enhance LCD brightness instead of adding more backlight lamps; all Winmate products are very compact and only use necessary packing materials to reduce the waste; the long lifetime of Winmate products also reduce the need of early device replacement.

  1. Use of RoHS compliant materials only

  3. Use the latest technology to make highest efficiency products
  4. Simulate thermal designs to optimize the heat flow to the best efficiency
  5. Design of long lasting products, with long lifetimes of 5 to 10 years
  6. Approve new Suppliers only if they follow the Green Policy

Details about RoHS:
Hazardous materials in various forms can cause death, serious injury, long-lasting health effects, and damage to buildings, homes, and other property. Many products containing hazardous chemicals are used and stored in homes routinely. These products are also shipped daily on the nation's highways, railroads, waterways, and pipelines.

The Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (or RoHS) was adopted in February 2003 by the European Union. This directive restricts the use of six hazardous materials in the manufacture of various types of electronic and electrical equipment. The six hazardous materials include lead, mercury, cadmium, Hexavalent chromium, Polybrominated biphenyls, and Polybrominated diphenyl ether.
What applications can use our Green Products?
All Winmate products are RoHS Compliant and suitable for many applications, such as POS for retail store, sunlight readable LCD for outdoor applications, Panel PC for industrial automation, touch screen for gaming industry and digital signage in transportation.
